My child,
Before you ever saw the light of day, I knew you. Before I formed you in the womb, I set my love upon you. I created your inmost being and knit you together in your mother’s womb. Your life is not an accident. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, intentionally shaped by my hands.
From the beginning I have carried you. From birth I have upheld you. Even to your old age and grey hairs I am the one who sustains you. I made you, and I will carry you for I know and love you. And know this: I delight in you. I rejoice over you with singing. You are not merely tolerated in my presence — you are loved. From the start I have surrounded your life with grace. In Christ I have blessed you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. As you grow and begin to search for meaning, remember this promise: If you seek me, you will find me. When you seek me with all your heart, I will not hide from you. Call on me, and I will answer you. I will show you great and unsearchable things you have not known. Trust me with all your heart, and do not lean only on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge me, and I will make your paths straight. If you lack wisdom, ask me, and I will give it generously.
And when your heart awakens to faith, receive this promise: If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that I raised him from the dead, you will be saved. I give you eternal life. You will never perish, and no one will snatch you out of my hand. As you walk through life, remember that you never walk alone. Wherever you go, I am there. If you rise to the heavens, I am there. If you travel to the far side of the sea, even there my hand will guide you. When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned.
When you are anxious, bring your worries to me. Cast your cares on me, for I care for you. And my peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind. When you feel weak, remember this: My grace is sufficient for you. My power is made perfect in all your weaknesses. Even in the darkest valley, you need not fear, for I am with you. My presence will comfort and guide you.
Through every season of your life, one truth remains unshakable: Nothing will ever separate you from my love in Christ Jesus. Not death. Not life. Not angels nor powers. Not the present. Not the future.
Nothing in all creation can separate you from my love. And when the final days of your earthly life come, do not be afraid. I am with you still.
In my house are many rooms. I have prepared a place for you. And I will come again and bring you to my home, so that where I am, you may be also. One day I will wipe every tear from your eyes. Death will be no more. There will be no more mourning, or crying, or pain. Until that day, remember my promise: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. I love you.
