A group just for men. The purpose is to get together for an hour each week to chew on a bit of God’s word, and work out together how we can get tooled-up for everyday living. It is open to all men: you don’t have to be super-spiritual, and you don’t have to bare your soul. Do expect some good coffee, a comfy chair, and a safe place to explore what it means to be a Christian man in a tough world. Look out for details of special events including Men’s Breakfasts and occasional socials.
In the first half of the autumn term Man Up has been looking at some of the important roles and responsibilities which men have (e.g. husband, father, church member, disciple, employee….). We are then moving on to a new series looking at the first letter of John. The detailed programme can be found by clicking here.
Southbourne Men’s Shed is a meeting room for all ‘older’ men living in the area who like to remain active and socialise with other men of the same age group without commitment. It has well-equipped workshops where men can follow a hobby or interest, share skills, work on small individual or community projects, or just sit, relax, chat, and enjoy a cuppa or two in good company. So why not join a group of men who can unite to finish a group, community or personal project or, perhaps, work alone on a hobby or interest whilst in the company of others.
More information can be found on their website: www.southbournemensshed.btck.co.uk
We are committed to praying for the men in our community. If you would like to be prayed for or to meet for prayer, please get in touch with the St. John’s office.
